Recently, a wonderful family from Sweden visited AriHana Kyoto, our Japanese culture experience space near Kiyomizu Temple and Sanjusangendo. Their 1-year-old boy was full of energy, happily exploring the room and playing with traditional Japanese toys. His parents enjoyed kendama, daruma otoshi, and origami, and the father even said, “This is my favorite!” while mastering the kendama. When it was time to leave, their little boy cried because he wanted to keep playing—such a heartwarming moment for us!
At AriHana Kyoto, families can enjoy hands-on Japanese cultural experiences such as origami workshops, calligraphy lessons, and many kinds of traditional Japanese toys and games.
