Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a lovely family from Australia with their adorable 1-year-old daughter. Although she was a bit shy at first around Amy, she gave us the sweetest smiles from a distance, which completely melted our hearts.

She was full of curiosity about the Japanese-style house and enjoyed exploring and playing with a variety of traditional toys. Her parents were especially fascinated by our hiragana wooden blocks – they loved the smooth texture and spent time happily playing with them. The daruma otoshi game also brought lots of laughter and excitement!

AriHana Kyoto is not only a play space for kids in Kyoto but also a Japanese cultural experience center for parents. While your child plays freely and safely indoors, parents can enjoy hands-on cultural activities and immerse themselves in the charm of Japan.

If you’re visiting Kyoto with kids and looking for indoor family-friendly activities, especially on rainy or hot days, AriHana Kyoto is the perfect stop. No reservation is needed – just drop by and enjoy!
