On July 25th and 26th (Friday and Saturday), AriHana Kyoto participated in a fun summer festival held at Vessel Hotel Campana Kyoto Gojo. Guests staying at the hotel as well as local residents enjoyed a variety of traditional Japanese toys and games, including origami, kendama, daruma otoshi, fukuwarai, wooden blocks, and spinning tops.
It was a joyful cultural exchange, with international visitors and Japanese guests alike discovering the charm of Japanese traditional play. Even toddlers had fun stacking blocks, and elderly guests gave spinning tops a try—with everyone smiling and laughing together.
We’re hosting another “Traditional Japanese Play Experience” today from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the hotel lobby. There will also be food stalls and festival booths, so come and join the fun if you’re nearby!
