This week, we were delighted to welcome many wonderful guests, and AriHana Kyoto was once again filled with the joyful voices of children 😊

Yesterday, we had visitors from the United States join us. Two 7-year-old twin girls enjoyed Japanese calligraphy and making kaleidoscopes, fully immersing themselves in traditional Japanese culture.
An 8-year-old girl, who loves origami, had a great time playing traditional Japanese games and kept coming back to origami to enjoy this timeless cultural activity.

We were also very happy to see the mothers enjoying these traditional Japanese experiences together with their children.

AriHana Kyoto is a family-friendly cultural experience in Kyoto where you can easily drop in without a reservation.

Japanese Cultural Experience Event in Kyoto – April Special

Yesterday, we hosted a traditional Japanese cultural experience event at Nishiyama Ryokan in Kyoto, and it was a great success!

This special event takes place every Tuesday in April from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The next event will be held on April 14.

Exclusively for hotel guests, many visitors joined us to enjoy classic Japanese traditional games, and the atmosphere was lively throughout the evening. Kendama, Daruma Otoshi, Origami, and Tosenkyo were especially popular, filling the lobby with excitement and smiles.

These traditional Japanese toys may look simple, but they can be surprisingly challenging. With a few tries, guests quickly improve and experience a sense of achievement—making it fun and rewarding for everyone.

At AriHana Kyoto, we offer a wide variety of traditional Japanese toys and cultural activities in an indoor play space where both children and adults can enjoy authentic Japanese culture together.
