Yesterday, we welcomed a lovely family from Indonesia to AriHana Kyoto, our indoor cultural play space located near Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Sanjusangendo in Kyoto.
Their two boys were full of curiosity and had a great time folding origami—especially shuriken (ninja stars) and other fun shapes. The whole family also enjoyed playing with kendama and daruma otoshi, and they even made their own traditional uchiwa fans to take home!
AriHana Kyoto is a family-friendly indoor activity center where both children and adults can enjoy hands-on experiences with Japanese traditional games and crafts.
Whether you’re looking for things to do with kids in Kyoto, a fun rainy day activity, or a place to relax during your Kyoto family trip, we welcome you with no reservation required.
🟢 Activities include:
- Origami (paper folding)
- Traditional toys & games
- Japanese calligraphy (shūji)
- Fan-making and more!
Come visit us this autumn in Kyoto and create unforgettable family memories while experiencing authentic Japanese culture—all in a fun and relaxed indoor space!
