Yesterday, a family with two young boys, aged 4 and 2, visited us from Osaka. Even though they live in Japan, it’s not often that they get to experience traditional toys. They were full of curiosity, exploring and playing with all kinds of old-fashioned toys. In addition, they had fun trying their hands at origami and making paper fans (uchiwa). But it wasn’t just the children who had a great time! The parents also got to relive their childhoods, enjoying games like kendama, yo-yos, and Fukuwarai. It was a lively and joyful time for everyone. Thank you to the family for visiting us at AriHana Kyoto – we hope you had as much fun as we did!
