We recently had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful family visiting from Australia to AriHana Kyoto.
Their 6-year-old daughter was especially curious about traditional Japanese toys, eagerly trying out many different games and play activities. Together with her parents, she enjoyed playing kendama, daruma otoshi, fukuwarai, paper sumo, and bouzu mekuri, filling the space with laughter and smiles throughout their visit.
They also spent plenty of time enjoying origami, creating so many beautiful pieces that they were happily tired by the end—and very satisfied with their handmade creations.
AriHana Kyoto is a family-friendly indoor playground in Kyoto, located near Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Sanjusangen-do Temple, where families can experience traditional Japanese play and culture together. It is a safe and welcoming space for families with children, operated by a former childcare professional.
We offer a nursing room and diaper-changing facilities, so families with babies are always welcome. It’s a perfect place to visit on cold winter days or rainy days in Kyoto, making sightseeing with children more comfortable and enjoyable.
