A Warm Indoor Japanese Cultural Experience for Families in Kyoto ❄️🇯🇵

2026.01.11
category customer's opinions

A cold wave has arrived in Kyoto, and sightseeing outdoors can feel challenging during this season. ❄️
That’s why indoor activities are especially popular right now!

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome a lovely family visiting from Switzerland. Their 2-year-old daughter was fascinated by Japanese picture books and happily requested them again and again. She also enjoyed origami, carefully folding paper while copying Amy and proudly completing her own creation.
Her mother had fun trying traditional Japanese games like kendama and daruma otoshi, repeatedly saying “So fun!” while experiencing Japanese culture firsthand.

AriHana Kyoto is a family-friendly indoor playground near Kiyomizu-dera and Sanjusangendo, where parents and children can enjoy Japanese cultural experiences together.
No reservation is required, but advance booking is also available.

If you are looking for a Kyoto indoor playground, a kids activity, or an authentic Japanese culture experience for families, we warmly invite you to visit AriHana Kyoto—perfect for cold or rainy days in Kyoto.
