Yesterday, we welcomed a lovely family from California to AriHana Kyoto, our indoor play space located near Kiyomizu Temple and Sanjusangendo.

The little boy absolutely loved dinosaurs and was thrilled to fold an origami dinosaur—his big smile said it all! Meanwhile, his mom and grandmother had a great time laughing and trying kendama, a traditional Japanese toy. It was a joy to see three generations enjoying Japanese cultural activities together.

Fun Family Visit from the U.S.! 🇺🇸🎎

Yesterday, we welcomed a lovely family from the United States to AriHana Kyoto, our indoor play space located near Kiyomizu Temple and Sanjusangendo.

The older brother had so much fun playing with a kendama (Japanese cup-and-ball toy) — after many tries, he got really good at it! His younger brother enjoyed making origami, especially a finger puppet shaped like an “oni” (Japanese ogre), and played happily. Their adorable 8-month-old baby was all smiles while being held by our friendly staff. 🧸💕

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming wonderful families from France and Germany to AriHana Kyoto, our indoor play space located near Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Sanjusangendo.

Everyone had a fantastic time trying out traditional Japanese games like kendama and daruma otoshi. The space was full of excitement and laughter as both kids and parents enthusiastically took part in the fun!

Today, we were delighted to welcome a lovely family from California to AriHana Kyoto, our indoor cultural activity space located near Kiyomizu Temple and Sanjusangendo. With three children and their parents, they spent a fun-filled time enjoying traditional Japanese cultural experiences together.

The whole family had a blast trying out origamikendama, and daruma otoshi — classic Japanese games that are both fun and educational. They also participated in our popular Uchiwa fan-making activity!

The two older sisters chose the Japanese calligraphy experience, writing their own names and their friends’ names in Kanji to decorate their fans beautifully. Their younger brother created a one-of-a-kind fan by drawing cool characters on both sides – a perfect souvenir from their Kyoto trip!

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome two wonderful families visiting from Germany and France. The youngest guest was a 7-month-old baby girl who arrived peacefully asleep. When she woke up in a new place surrounded by unfamiliar faces, she looked a little surprised—but soon, she warmed up to the staff with the cutest smiles and even reached out for handshakes!
