Yesterday, we were happy to welcome many guests from Los Angeles and New York to AriHana Kyoto. A 3-year-old boy especially loved playing with a traditional paper balloon (origami toy) made by his father and enjoyed it with a big smile. He was also very enthusiastic about our Japanese fan (uchiwa) craft activity, creating a wonderful piece with his own drawings.
Another group visiting as two families enjoyed a hands-on origami experience, followed by traditional Japanese games such as kendama and daruma otoshi. Everyone joined in, and the space was filled with laughter and excitement.

We were delighted to welcome a very lovely family to AriHana Kyoto the other day. A German Family Enjoyed a Relaxing Cultural Experience at AriHana Kyoto
Yesterday, we welcomed a wonderful family visiting from Germany. Their two-year-old son tried origami for the very first time and, together with his parents, proudly completed a cute origami cat. The family also enjoyed exploring our hiragana wooden blocks. The mother read the characters aloud with ease, creating a very warm and peaceful moment together.
The parents had great fun experimenting with traditional Japanese toys such as kendama and daruma otoshi. They tried several times, laughing as they improved with each attempt. They mentioned that “temple sightseeing in Kyoto can be difficult for young children,” and were delighted to find a place where the whole family could relax and enjoy hands-on Japanese culture.
