Children Find Their Own Way to Play

Recently, a three-year-old boy came to AriHana Kyoto with his mother and older sister.

His mother and sister were enjoying origami, while he found his own way to play.

He walked around the tatami room, played with some toys, and in the end, he was happily playing and even humming a little song.

At AriHana Kyoto, children don’t have to play the same thing together.

Some children want to make origami.
Some want to try kendama.
Some enjoy playing with toys, while others like exploring the tatami room.

Some children find a game they have never seen before and keep trying it again and again.

Every child plays in their own way, depending on their age and how they feel that day.

At AriHana Kyoto, children can find many traditional Japanese games, such as origami, kendama, daruma otoshi, spinning tops, and fukuwarai.

There is no set way to play.

Children can simply pick up something that looks interesting and give it a try.

While children are playing, parents can enjoy origami or other traditional Japanese games nearby.

Children and adults can each find their own way to enjoy the time.

That is one of the things I value at AriHana Kyoto.

If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, why not take a little break and enjoy some traditional Japanese play together as a family?
