We had a wonderfully busy day at AriHana Kyoto yesterday! 🌸
Visitors from Mexico, Hawaii, Sweden, and many other countries joined us, creating a lively and international atmosphere.
A couple who came to enjoy our Japanese calligraphy and origami experience surprised us with a handmade origami crane they had learned in Mexico—it felt like a little note of appreciation, and it truly touched our hearts.
It was also a joy to see how children experienced the space in their own ways. One elementary school girl was curious and excited to try many different traditional Japanese toys. A 2-year-old boy happily tried to copy what others were playing. Another 2-year-old girl was shy at first and couldn’t come inside, but once she found her favorite picture book, she kept smiling and saying “more!” as she enjoyed story time again and again.
AriHana Kyoto is an indoor play space and Japanese cultural experience located near Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Sanjusangendo. We offer hands-on activities such as origami, calligraphy, kendama, and a variety of traditional Japanese toys for both kids and adults.
