Recently, we have welcomed many wonderful families from the United States, Italy, Chile, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, and many other countries.
Children from 8 months to 11 years old have been enjoying traditional Japanese play with their families, and it has been a joy to see so many smiles from around the world.
Origami is one of our most popular activities. Younger children enjoy folding paper with their parents, while some older children and adults tell us they learned origami in their own countries and enjoy making new creations with our origami books.
Kendama and Daruma Otoshi are always full of excitement, but one game has become an unexpected favorite—Fukuwarai. Many people think it is just for children, but parents often end up laughing just as much as their kids!
Every family enjoys traditional Japanese play in their own way, and that’s one of the things we love most about AriHana Kyoto.
Seeing children from so many different countries enjoy traditional Japanese play reminds us why we opened AriHana Kyoto. We hope many more families will discover the fun of Japanese play and create happy memories in Kyoto.
